"I thought Pitcher's Hands is OUT! was a good book - but you cranked your game up a notch with Slam Dunks. I couldn't wait to see what the next Woody-ism was. Written for a bit more mature audience but my 4th grader had no trouble with it and laughed out loud in some places. Well done! P.D. A high school basketball team that has a huge twist to it. One passage that stood out to me was “My grandfather always says to play within yourself”. That sticks out to me because I (play sports) and things like that make me think about not trying to play like (someone) I’m not when I can play well just as I am. I loved the book. I liked it because I like reading sports stories and how they resemble real life. The one thing I liked the most was that the person who didn’t have the most talent but worked real hard accomplished things he didn't think he could do. M.MacL. (12) Our whole family loved Slam Dunks. You've mixed humor, history, and science within a very good sports story in way that's educational, exciting, and believable. If you're intention is to get young people to read and understand history, you've succeeded. When is the next book coming out? V. P.
